More important than physical upgrades to the station would be a transfer policy allowing persons boarding AMTRAK at Parkesburg to get to Thorndale where they would be able to use SEPTA to complete their travel. It is very easy to accomplish this, I would think. Please submit this to the relevant authorities.

The existing train station deserves a beautiful renovation, rather than become a vacant target for vandalism. The businesses that have oped on first avenue past the police station and before the train station have been doing well, and if you move the station their businesses will fail. The center of town is the existing station, and it should be kept there forever. The in their best interests want to tear down the old station and build section 8 housing which will decline the surrounding area, and over 100 people already signed a petition to keep the station where it is. Moving a landmark will destroy the town in many eyes, so the final answer is keep the present station alive!

I really love the existing station and want to see it upgraded! I am interested in seeing the new design for the future without moving a historical treasure in the heart of Parkesburg. I have lived here almost my entire life and can't imagine what would happen in the town if the station was moved. The bridges are getting fixed anyway which will unite the town, so having a train station as its center will bring great joy to my heart. Keep the old station where it is located forever.

Thank you!
